Fasteners Specialties/Scorpion Products was founded in 1975 and initially specialized in fasteners for metal buildings and steel roof deck construction with drywall products added in 1978.

Originally started in a 12'x12' office -warehouse, it has since expanded to our present 30,000 square foot facility located in South Windsor, Connecticut.

With the constantly changing flow of construction materials, we have introduced many new fasteners throughout this catalog. Each is designed to improve your fastening capabilities. Look for the symbol.

The Scorpion Products Trademark now encompasses full lines of fasteners for Drywall, Acoustical, Decking, Light Steel and Wood related applications.

SCORPION CORPORATE HISTORY

• 1975 - Fasteners Specialties Inc. founded.
• 1978 - Drywall & Acoustical Fasteners added into product line.
  
• 1980 - Began retail packaging of fasteners for dealer markets.
  
• 1983 - "Scorpion" trademark and logo registered.
  
• 1985 - Type XT^TM Ceramic Coated Decking Fasteners introduced.
  
• 1986 - XT^TM - line revised to include: Drawtite^TM shanks, self-drilling, self-countersinking and stainless steel exterior fasteners.
  
• 1994 - Ceramic coated specialty panel fasteners introduced.
  
• 1998 - Patent granted for Scorpion Spring Toggle.
  
• 1999 - Patent granted for Scorpion Plylite^® fasteners.
